To the rescue
"Shit, stop it. Fuck! What the hell are you doing?" I murmured irritably as I dodged all of her sudden attacks on me.
Tss, I had no idea she had returned? What is it for? To bother? Why do they merely come just to keep pestering my life? Fuck it.
"You're such a bastard, Tyron! What did I just see?! I can't believe that you did that to Ara! Oh, God! What were you thinking about doing such a thing?! I just got in here, then suddenly... Oh my gosh! That's what I'm going to see?! And now, I get it! That's why she doesn't seem to want me to come over here, it is because this is what you're doing to her! Why, Tyron?! What happened to you and you're doing this?! Did your brain just drop to your damn egg, huh?! You were considered handsome, but seem to be an airhead!" She screams, her mouth was so unstoppable that it was getting into my nerves, and her high-pitched voice was making my blood boil. Fucking annoying.
"Will you at least put your fucking bag away from me?! You haven't even changed. Your mouth was so damn loud still, so irritating." I gave her a death glare before I turned my back around.
"Ha! Wow, I didn't you're that respectful, Tyron?" She said sarcastically.
"Don't you have a conscience now? You're not really going to do anything, huh?! You're just going to leave Ara like that? I can't believe you became like this! What if she dies from what you just do?! For heaven's sake, Tyron! You've changed a lot! I can't even recognize you anymore, because you are no longer the Tyron I used to know. But, I can only assure you of one thing. Once that Ciara comes to her senses, don't you dare come near her or me just to beg her to come back to you! I'll sue you!" She came to her long nonsense line that I didn't even bother to listen up to.
"If she's going to die, then go on? I'll be definitely glad if that's what happens to her. She deserves it because your friend is such a flirt." I dropped those words with a cold tone.
"Which demon has joined your system and you turned like one of them, huh? How can you say those words without even thinking about what might Ara feel once she heard that! You're nothing as bad, Tyron. Remember this day, I'm suing you for being so ruthless. Don't worry, I'm going to take Ara away from you. Go and have fun with your life, and I hope you'll be picked up from hell! Someday, you'll regret all of this, Tyron. You'll regret that you did all this, you jerk!" She blurted out from the top of her lungs, her veins seeming to pop out because of the rage as her tears burst out, anger and hatred were so clear in her glaring eyes.
Tss, say whatever you want, dumbass as if I care.
"Why don't you just leave and take her with you? I don't even need your opinion but you keep on blabbering shits. If you're going to leave, then do it right now and stop talking."
"Leave." I pointed to the door.
THE NEXT DAY
Ciara's pov
When I finally opened my eyes, I was immediately seated on the bed and got surprised as I roamed around in the not-so-familiar place where I am right now.
"Where am I?" I asked myself and tried to get up, but I could still feel the pain in my body, that's why I just gave up and remained still on the bed. I even looked at myself, but surprisingly, my clothes also changed.
Who changed my clothes?
I grabbed my head when I felt dizzy and noticed that I had a bandage there as well.
Who put it up?
"Ara, finally! It's good that you're awake." I turned my gaze to the person who just entered the door.
My lips loosened, "Jennifer?" I called her out as I quickly recognized her. I watched her put down on the table the tray she was holding with food and medicine on it.
"Yeah, it's me. How are you feeling? Are you hurt? Any body pain?" She asked worriedly, but I just smiled at her because I suddenly missed her presence. It's been a year since we've been together since school days, and now, she's still here. Always still checking me, worrying about everything.
"Hmm, my body just hurts a bit and I feel a little dizzy, but I'm okay, I can handle it," I replied. I was kinda surprised when she started tearing up, but was glaring and looked like she wanted to fight.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Anger was so obvious in her eyes, but her voice was so soft and worried as if she wanted to throw herself on me and hug me.
"T-tell what?" I felt nervous. Did she see what happened last night? Probably, because I'm with her right now...
"That you're not in a good state!" My lips loosened up more when she started sobbing. My lips quivered, but I still tried speaking.
"W-what are you saying? Of course, I'm okay." I tried to brighten up my face by smiling, but it doesn't seem to be working, because she just gave me a look that is obviously disagreeing.
"Stop lying, my eyes saw everything last night, Ara. And it's making me want to throw a fist right straight to his face and sue him forever. He literally boiled my blood last night, he was talking as if he was out of his mind. He's not like that before, and I'm wondering what happened between you two and suddenly changed. I personally don't like what I saw last night," she said seriously which made me look away.
"It's a good thing that I came last night. I saw his true color and now, I just wanted you to take away from him. I will never trust him again. He lied to us all the time, I was thinking that he was taking care of you so well but turns out not and that was just so opposite of what I was thinking."
She sighed and held my hands.
"Be honest with me. Does he always do this to you? When did he start hurting you? Just tell me, Ara, and I won't hesitate to report your bastard husband. It's not fair that he's hurting you, that's abuse. Even if he's my friend I won't let him pass with this. Do you know that's against the law, right? Then he needs to be punished and sentenced to life imprisonment," she blurted out.
"I can't just allow him to abuse your weakness as a woman, Ara. If I were you, I would file a divorce paper and sue that man. He's not good for you anymore."
"I don't want to," she frowned as I whispered the phrase she didn't expect me to say.
"What? What don't you mean?!"
"I don't want to see other people punish him. I don't want to see him suffering-"
"And what do you want, huh?! You took part in his every torture of you? Come on Ara! You're literally choosing death, don't you? That was the biggest wrong decision you have ever made in your life if you ever did that! You're being too martyr to him that it's making you a fool too!"
"I love her, Jennifer. And I will do whatever I can do. If I have to suffer, then I'll take it. You don't understand me because you're not in my position. You don't know what I feel. I know he still cares for me, and it won't ever change my love for him." A tear came out of my eyes.
"Love? Is that what you call love?! Oh my, heaven and earth! If that's what love means, then that's whole bullshit! Gosh, love?! That was pure torture, Ara, but you're still calling it love?! Why?! Does hurting you his love language?! Stop acting so stupid, Ara! Wake up from being delulu. Can't you see that you're the only one who's loving him, while he's giving you only pain? For heaven's sake, Ara! Look at yourself! Your body just needs to be a punching bag with the amount of bruises you gain because of hurting you, yet you call it love? What are you? A fool?" It breaks my heart as she said those painful words. But I know she's just doing this to wake me up, but I can't. This is my reality. Loving him despite the storm he's giving me.
"What can I do if I don't want to leave him?"
"Stop me from your stupidity, Ara. It's not funny seeing you like this. I'm telling you, that love you're saying might kill you if you don't stop!"
"Let her learn from her mistake," Jennifer and I both turned our heads to the person who was now standing and leaning on the wall beside the doorway.
"Who is she?"
"I'm Raiza. Raiza Respecia. Jennifer's friend. I'm an agent from Hong Kong," she calmly introduced herself. I nodded at her.
He walked over to Jen and then put her arm around her shoulder.
"We're not perfect. Everyone starts with stupid mistakes and learns after, so let her do what she decides. It's her consequence anyway," she smiled at me as she said those unexpected words.
She's right.
I heard Jen's heavy sigh.
"Anyway, I came here to say that we can't stay here for so long. I still have a mission to do. I just rented this because Jennifer suddenly called me last night saying you need a place to stay," she explained. I blinked once, she did that? For me?
"It's okay, I'll just go back to our house. Thanks for taking care of me." I thanked them.
"What?! No! You're not coming back to that hell, Ara. What are you thinking?! You're so stubborn, you really want to die, huh?!" She hysterically shouted at me which made me giggle.
"Stop, Jen. I'll just go back there. I can handle myself. I can handle it," I assured.
"Let her go, Jen. That will surely wake her up to the truth, just wait. It's better to be unexpected than forced. Because the result of someone who wakes up to the truth is more painful than being forced to wake up from the truth," she meaningfully. I understand what she wanted to deliver and there was something in me that felt like I wanted to feel what she just said.
I want to wake up now. If this is a dream, please someone wake me up now and I promise to choose the right decision.
"Are you sure about this Ara? You're going home there?" Concern was evident in her voice as she came up to those questions, worriedly. That's why I gave her an assurance smile.
"Just tell me if he did that to you again. Report it to me, huh? Take my words seriously, Ara. If ever he hurts you again, I'll hit him with a dos por dos!" He loudly said, shivering. Raiza and I can't help but quietly laugh because of how cute Jen's face is.
"Anyway, you should eat before you go. Take your medicine too, then take a rest again." Raiza said.
A few hours later, I was able to rest well and felt my body lightened.
"Ara?" I looked at Jennifer as she re-entered the room.
"Are you alright? I need to go home as soon as possible. Mommy found out that I'm back here in the Philippines, that's why they are waiting for me at home. Probably they're just going to hand me whatever kind of business they want me to take care of. I just went home to freshen up my mind, but it seems like the pressure was really in my home. When will I ever experience the real rest," she loudly sighed. Looking so frustrated.
"You have no choice, but to do what they want," I said.
"What else? If I don't handle the business they're going to hand me, they'll probably force me to marry the son of their business partners for the sake of their company. Gosh, why did we even grow up in this kind of state in life," she ranted.
I wonder why too. Why do we have to live like this? Why is it so impossible like others to live and experience such a simple life? If I only have a chance to cut my strings with them, I'll do that unhesitatingly. But no, we can't do that, because since we were young, we're already tied to them to control us, to do whatever they want us to do. They open our eyes with only money, power, and position knowledge.
"This is it, I have to go now, Ara."
"Are you coming home? I'll come with you. Maybe Tyron is waiting for me," I jokingly said, but because she's Jennifer, my most amazing best friend. She slowly turned back on me, frowning.
"Why?" I innocently asked.
"What did you say? Looking- ha! Looking for you? Dream on! As far as I know, he was so glad I took you last night." She rolled her eyes.
"He can't stand not seeing me around him, I know that. I know that he's now looking for me, so I'll go with you. I'm coming home," I insisted, which made her sigh.
"All right, what else can I do? Ah, just! Just please, be careful, huh? When you're hurt, kick him in his private part with full energy! So that he can't stand anymore," I laughed at her suggestion.
"You're really crazy. Let's say goodbye to Raiza," I said, but then, Raiza entered the room just in time.
"Are you going home? Take care, especially you." She gazes at me.
"Thank you, Raiza," I said with a smile, and she nodded at me.
"Gotta go!"
Raiza's pov
After those two left, I immediately picked up my phone when someone called me.
It's Mrs. De Mastrano.
"Hello, Raiza? Where are you?" She greeted me with a question.
"I'm just leaving now, Ma'am," I replied.
"Alright, as soon as possible, you need to find her, okay? I'm looking forward to you because I know you know her," she added.
"Yes, Ma'am. Noted." I answered and dropped the call.
Where can I find that person?
Ciara's pov
"I'll take you home, Ara," Jennifer suggested.
"No need. I'll just commute. You're out of the way tho. My way is here." I pointed the other way.
"You should go now."
"Are you sure?" She assured me, and I nodded.
"All right, I'll go now. Be careful," she bid her goodbye and pecked a kiss on my cheek before getting in her car.
While crossing the road, my cell phone suddenly rang. I dug into my pocket and when I touched it, I immediately grabbed it. I tried to open it but frowned when it suddenly died.
Aish, didn't I charge this?
I was about to put it back in my pocket but my eyes widened when I heard the loud beep of the car approaching me.
Shit.
