When we finally broke apart, I started to smile. I rested my forehead on Ava's and looked deep into her eyes.
"You have the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. They put a spell on me from the start!" I said softly.
Ava smiled at me too and said, "That's what someone says with an eye color I've never seen anywhere."
She pulled away from me and looked at me seriously. "Kian. What is this between us?"
"I fell in love with you Ava. I can't just let you go now. you belong by my side Be my girlfriend."
"Why me? There are so many more beautiful girls than me. They would suit you much better. I'm just a simple girl."
I put my hands on her cheeks and honestly said, “Ava! You are the most beautiful of all. Not just on the outside, but also on the inside. I would prefer you to anyone Let us try it."
"I don't know...then why didn't you notice me until now?" You always walked past me and never looked at me. Why now?"
Because of a stupid bet. I couldn't say I regretted them. Because if I had never locked it, I probably wouldn't have noticed Ava. My prom was in two months, my birthday a month after that, and then my school year would be over. Whether I would have noticed Ava over the next three months was questionable.
I would tell her about the bet, but at a better time. I just hoped it wouldn't have any consequences for me later.
"I'm sorry I didn't notice you sooner. But I'm glad it happened now. What are you saying? will you give me a chance?"
When Ava nodded slightly, I beamed at her happily and kissed her passionately on the mouth.
"I love you. Really!" I breathed softly.

I've been with Ava for two months now. Our relationship was going really, really well. It was still relatively difficult at the beginning and Ava almost immediately ended our relationship. The reason was that some girls were quite jealous that Ava and I were a couple. She hadn't told me about it and I had just found out about it from someone. I made a scene in the cafeteria that day, and Ava has been left alone ever since.
Seth initially thought this was all just play, but I then had a private chat with him.
flashback
“You could be an actor, Kian. Even I would have bought that from you earlier if I didn't know better!" Seth said when we were alone a short time later.
"Seth. That wasn't played. I've wanted to talk to you about this for a long time."
"What is it?" he asked seriously.
"About Ava...I really feel for her. I don't want that bet anymore. You won."
"But she's not your mate! What if you come of age and find your mate right after? Then what if it's not Ava. I mean, the odds are pretty slim."
"Of course you have feelings for your companion, the person is meant for you. But I love Ava and I know for a fact that I won't have those feelings for anyone. I will refuse my mate. It's not like you should die of grief if you don't spend your life with that person."
"Kian. I'm really happy for you. I'm serious. I just think you're rushing it all. You're quite young and you've only known Ava for two months. Maybe your feelings will change."
"I've never had anything like this before. I just want her, no one else."
Seth smiled at me and put a hand on my shoulder. "Well, if that's the case. I congratulate you. Let's forget the bet. The main thing is that my friend is fine."

"Have I told you how beautiful you look today?" I said as I danced with Ava. It was my prom and now we were standing on the dance floor, slowly moving back and forth.
"Like ten times? And that's just in the last five minutes!" she smiled at me.
"What should I do, love?" I asked, grinning.
"You're an idiot, Kian." She rested her head on my chest and I savored the moment.
"And that's exactly why I love you!" she whispered. I gently grabbed her shoulders and pulled her slightly away from me to get a better look at her eyes.
"What did you just say?" I asked in surprise. Her eyes widened and she blushed, "How could you hear that?"
She was right. A normal person with ordinary hearing would not be able to hear this. Especially because the music was still playing. It was thanks to my animal side that I heard those words for the first time.
"Please say it again."
"I love you."
I fiercely put my lips to her mouth and kissed her. I smiled into the kiss and now pulled her closer to me.
"I love you, love."

A quiet vibration disturbed my sleep and I opened my eyes. I smiled involuntarily when I saw Ava lying in my arms. Last night was breathtakingly beautiful and now she really belonged to me. I wouldn't let her go anytime soon.
I gently removed my arm that was under her neck and slowly pulled away from her. I quickly picked up my cell phone and picked it up straight away.
"Yes?" I asked my brother.
"Please come home as soon as possible. Something happened."
"What is it?" I inquired. I couldn't leave Ava alone. Not after what happened between us yesterday. It would be the last thing for her to wake up alone in bed. Not if it was her first time .
"Kian. Please come over." His voice sounded broken and something bad must have happened.
"I'll be there in ten minutes."
Noah hung up and slowly I got worried. He had never behaved like this before. I quickly changed into my clothes from yesterday and gave Ava a quick kiss on the head.
"I'll be with you again soon..."
