FINDING A FEMALE ESCORT
CHAPTER NINETEEN
ONE WEEK LATER
JAYDEN'S POV
It's over a week and I still haven't found the right person to make my little charade perfect.
The invitation came earlier than expected and if I don't make the plan work, I'll just lose the deal to that bloody company.
I have to do something about it. I think I need to seek aunts advice on the matter, perhaps she might help me out.
I left the invitation card I just received for the event on my desk and strolled out of my study to look for her.
I was already on the way to her bedroom when I heard her call out to me from behind as I twirled around to see her with Sarah.
The moment I locked eyes with her, she quickly took her glance downward and greeted me.
“Are you looking for me? Aunt asked.
Yes aunt. I actually need you to help me for something but we have to discuss it in private.
“Is it that serious? It's already late."
“It's important aunt, that's why I'm here."
“Alright. Let's proceed to my bedroom then." She said before turning to Sarah.
"Good night dear. I'll discuss the rest of the stuff with you tomorrow, okay."
"Okay aunt. Good night. Good night Mr Russell." She replied in a soft tone before leaving.
"How serious is the matter that we can't discuss it in the morning?"
“It's not really serious. I just can't seem to focus on it."
"Okay. Let's go inside." She stated, as we both got to her bedroom.
“When did you and Max's nanny become that close to this point?" I inquired, curiously.
"We have always been that way the first time she came but you never paid attention to any of that. She's really nice so being friends with her isn't so hard, okay?"
“Yeah, right. Anyways, I need your advice on this particular matter that's been bothering me."
“I'm all ears. What's the matter?"
"I'm in search of a lady to attend an event in Paris but I can't seem to find a reasonable one among the ladies I've interviewed. So, I'm in need of your advice on what to do?"
“Also, it's for a contract deal, don't get me wrong. I'm not interested in anyone." I added, not to give her the impression I've decided to move on with another woman.
There's possibly no way I would betray Amanda and have another woman in my life. She's the only one I'll always love forever.
“Oh I see but what advice can I give to you since your choice of a woman is expensive?"
“The gala is a test to see if I'm worth the contract which I'm over worth it but that old man had to state some conditions before signing the deal with me. Isn't that absurd?"
“I'm pretty sure it isn't. There's more to it but you won't know. He wants to confirm one or two things to be sure if you're worth the contract."
“I thought that stuff only happens in the movies but never have I imagined I'd have to deal with such a fantasy. Whatever he is planning, I'm sure I'll get the contract.”
“Jay, my child, I know how you must be feeling since you're not into any woman ever since Amanda's death. Don't you think that loneliness is enough already?"
“I thought we already discussed that you won't talk about the hurtful memories, aunt. Where are you really heading with your words?"
“I'm just saying, Jay. It's been five years already. You need to move on with your life. I know deep within, you need a woman's love and care, Jay.”
“You're wrong aunt. I'm better off without any woman. I just need the contract badly to out-throw a rival company and not to get myself a bride like you want.”
"At least if you're not going to do it for yourself then do it for your son? Do you know how he's feeling without his mother's love or a woman to replace the spot of his mother? He might not say it but you can always tell from his eyes which can't lie."
“My son is doing just fine. We both don't need any woman in our lives. He will eventually understand better as he grows older. Please, let's end the discussion here."
“You can speak for yourself but not for the kid. I know it was going to be impossible talking you out of it.”
“I can't bring myself to love another woman without thinking of Amanda whose soul still lives in me. My son and I are doing just fine and we also have you with us. What more can we ask for?"
“Love comes in mysterious ways, Jay and we can't avoid it no matter how we try to. Sooner or later, you'll get to realise it."
I'll just call Mr Hopkins up and tell him the truth. I uttered, because her words were already becoming too much for me to handle.
“You don't have to do that, son. I'm sorry if my words hurt you in any way. I should have stayed within my boundaries as your senior worker and nanny."
“You're not a worker or a nanny to me but like an aunt to me. Don't ever say such things because I'll always take you as a part of my family."
"Thank you, son. I know someone who will be perfect and willing to help but I've to discuss it with her." She smiled, which gave me the hint she was talking about Sarah.
"I really don't want her getting involved in my affairs."
“Come on boy, don't be stubborn. She's better and smarter than those ladies, trust me.”
"Alright, fine. Since you insist, I can't say no."
“I know you want her to tag along. Don't worry, I'll talk to her and get back to you in the morning."
"Sure aunt. It's late already. Get some rest, okay."
“Okay, child. Good night." She uttered and gave me a light kiss on the forehead before I walked out of the room.
I just hope Sarah agrees to help me so I can deal with my rival companies.
Mr Hopkins was never my client but I somehow managed to take him away from the rival company that stole one of my contracts so I'm only doing it as a payback since without Mr Hopkins their company is dead.
People might call it stealing but that's how the world of business works, you have to get your hands dirty if you want your business to stand out among others which is what I'm only doing.
I took out my phone from my pocket and called Henry on the phone who picked the call up at the first ring.
“Yes, boss. Do you want me to do something for you right now?"
“I want you to make a VIP reservation tomorrow at the spa to get Sarah ready for the trip and cancel all my schedule for tomorrow."
“Okay boss.”
"Get a passport ready for her as well."
“It'll be taken care of, boss. Goodnight, boss."
I can't wait to show that rival company how business is always done with smartness.
